I am a junior English major at University of Maryland Baltimore County, with a minor in creative writing.
Experience
I have 1.5 years experience tutoring Writing to young adults as well as intermediate and older adults, and am CRLA tutoring certified. I also have a year's experience running Writing workshops for English 100, basic Composition, on how to write essays clearly and effectively. I received a 4 on both the AP English Literature exam and the AP English Language and Comp exam. I also scored a 28 on the ACT and an 1880 on the combined SAT with writing (with a 680/800 on the writing section). I love helping people learn how to communicate better. It can be frustrating when you want to say something, but don't know how. One of the most rewarding parts of tutoring is helping people understand that all it takes is practice (and lots of editing, even for experts!)
